How much do these parts cost?

A 12700K and Z690 would be much better and probably not much more expensive. 12600K should also handle a 3080 Ti fine.

100~150 $ additional cost for each part.

And not huge of options  - also no MB that I would prefer

I dont see a point in this side downgrade.

There is still one more upgrade on the am4, also you can get a 5900x for 400 now ( if you want to upgrade)

If you want to upgrade just wait until there is ddr5 availability with good prices and them make the change .

Also it depends on the resolution if you are on 1080p just upgrade the monitor to 1440p, normally this is put the cpu problems a bit to the side. for a 3700x that is.

You convinced me. I will get only the 5800x for now. And in future will replace it
