Random Crash, D Drive Missing, now Windows will not boot.

Stefanopolis

Hello fine people,

I don't even know where to begin.

I was playing Halo Infinite yesterday for about an hour before I quit out of the game to play some brawlhalla with friends. Got into the main menu, joined a lobby, and when the game started, everything froze, PC crashed, and rebooted into windows as normal. No BSOD yet. When i rejoined the discord call, the same freezing happened but I was able to keep the system running and closed discord. That's when I noticed that my D drive wasn't in file explorer anymore. I tried recovering data from the drive to no avail, also used a system restore from about three days ago but that didn't help the drive to show up.

Now today, I try to boot and each time i get BSOD, stop code is CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.

Using command prompt I was able to see the files and directory on my D drive, it looks like everything is there. Drive also shows up in BIOS but fails the self test.

My C drive has the OS on it, so I am not sure why I cannot boot into windows today when I could yesterday.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
