Is corsair rm850x compatible with LGA 1700?

Tazz 316

Yes, it's compatible. They're a 4 pin and 8 pin CPU power connectors. If you have the older RM850x it comes with two 4+4 pin connectors that can be used as either a 4 pin or 8 pin power connector. If you have the latest 2021 RM850x it has three 4+4 connectors.

The 4+4 connector splits in half if you want to use it as a 4 pin.

You only need to plug in the 8 pin. Don't worry about the other 4 pin as it isn't needed unless you are doing LN2 or similar overclocking.

Always better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Since you've got the cable for it may as well plug it in. No reason not to.

It won't matter, but it won't make a difference either.
