What resolution and what 3xxx card?

Assuming a 3060 for example... it'll be fine at 1080 and even 1440p.

Basically I wouldn't worry about upgrading the CPU either way.

I would say it would depend on your workload.

I would look at some youtube videos with your workload (Be it gaming video editing ETC ) and see if it meets your standards.

Depends on WHICH 3000-series card, and what games / workloads.

It would even be ok for a 3090 if running 4k resolution.

Really depends on which 30 series card, the type of games you play and the desired resolution/FPS.

CPU i7 14700K | CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U12A | Motherboard MSI Pro Z690-A | GPU Zotac Airo RTX 4080 | RAM 32 GB GSkill Ripjaws V 4400
Mhz |
 Monitor Alienware AW2721D / Gigabyte M28U | PSU ASUS ROG Strix 850G

Depends on the use case / workload.

Typically at higher resolutions you are GPU bound, but that doesn't "fix" a CPU bottleneck.

If you CPU is only fast enough to process 100 FPS.

Your GPU is process 200 FPS.

At 1080p, your max is 100 FPS.

Now at 4K, GPU can only process 120 FPS.

CPU is STILL only fast enough to process 100 FPS.

At 4K, your max is still 100 FPS.
