Monitor coil whine?

I have heard monitor fans in the past but coil whine would be a first for me. And it would certainly make me return it.

I just bought a monitor its the lg-24GN650 and it makes a high pitched buzzing noise whenever it is turned on. If I plug in a DisplayPort cable or HDMI it gets a little louder. Its not super loud but if the room is quite I can hear it and its a little annoying. My main display is the lg 27gl850 and its silent.

I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal and if it is coil whine or defective.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Yup, I ended up returning it. The noise was very annoying. I am on the lookout for a new monitor now, thanks for the help.
