I see. Then, in that case, using zip ties or string to firmly secure the cooler to the motherboard should work as a makeshift solution. Just make sure your computer doesn't get bumped around, and don't use rubber bands, since they will degrade over time and lose their ability to exert force. Though, I highly recommend getting a better cooler in the future when you can afford it. A good one will easily last through many rigs.

Also, it says in your profile description that you have two 3090s. If you're only gaming on them, then there's not much of a reason for the second one, since very few titles support SLI currently. If the scalper situation where you live is similar to other regions, you could consider selling a 3090 for a handy profit.

I'm a bit confused by what you're saying. Are you talking about the mounting clips?

Can you elaborate on this? The Intel stock cooler doesn't save power compared to other coolers unless you're running more fans, and even then the difference is extremely tiny.

You can purchase replacement mounting pins off Amazon if you plan to continue using it. However, I strongly recommend using the money to get a significantly more capable cooler instead. While I understand the sentimental value, literally almost any tower CPU cooler with heatpipes will completely outdo Intel's stock coolers in terms of performance, and most of them often consume less power since their fans spin more slowly.

Edit: Here's one. It's pretty similar to the Cooler Master Hyper T4 I bought for USD $14 and still use in various computers to this day.

I have no idea what I'm doing and no one can stop me.

Thanks! I will try it!

2x 3090? Oh just forget to mention in the profile, I install two of it in my PC, but only 1 of it is usable. The other one get broken, even NVIDIA can't fix it so I keep it in my PC as a sign of "rich" 😉

Also I'm not usually gaming (I only gaming around 2 times a month). I use strong GPU and CPU because I have to do circuit simulate.

Even if it's broken, it should still be covered under warranty. A 3090 costs a pretty penny, and I really recommend seeing if Nvidia will let you RMA the card for a replacement. If you claim that the card malfunctioned under normal usage and Nvidia's inspection corroborates with those claims, they'll likely send you a new one.

Also, circuit simulations are definitely a much better reason to have multiple graphics cards in a system. Circuit simulations must be quite interesting to work on!

I have no idea what I'm doing and no one can stop me.
