can keyboard rgb malfunction be caused by mobo?

It's possible, but more troubleshooting is needed to confirm.

 

1. Try other USB ports on the computer to see if the issue is with a specific port or all of them.

 

2. Try the keyboard on a different computer, can even be a laptop. This is to figure out if the issue is with the computer or the keyboard. If the issue appears on the other computer then it is the keyboard.

im just wondering because when i unplug for 5 mins and put on the lights seem okay but about 3 seconds flickering starts
