Just checked the prices, the Gigabyte and ASUS Dual RTX3060 is priced about 20$ more than the RX6600XT.

So if I'm gonna spend extra for the RX6600XT, I might as well go for the RTX3060 because of the features that Nvidia offer right?

6600 is way better than 1660 Super, So if you don't have enough money to get 6600XT or 3060, Get 6600.

3060 VS 6600XT is matter of debate, In some games one is better than another, In some games it's other way around. But if 6600 is around same price as 1660 Super, 1660 Super makes absolutely no sense.

Budget (including currency): MYR 6000 (~1,415.43 USD)

Country: Malaysia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Purely gaming and web browsing (YouTube,Twitch,Netflix). Must run CSGO, Valorant. Would like to play other games like DOOM, Bioshock, Civ VI, Witcher, GTA etc.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have a AOC 24G2 monitor (1080p,144Hz,1ms, AMD FreeSync Premium), so I only need 1080p gaming.

My build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t8ktVc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Hch4RT (Updated list)

Some context on why I chose the following parts:

CPU: 11400f over the 10400f because of 3200Mhz ram support and I've read that if its going to be at least a 5 year build its better.

Motherboard: B560M Mortar - better VRAM cooling? again for longevity and better performance, this board seems to come out on top with a worthwhile price increase compared to other MOBOs.

Case: I want a case that can provide really good airflow so I dont have to worry about thermals and i come from a hot country all year round. I even opted for 6 fans config ( 3 intake , 3 exhaust). Nevertheless, I would appreciate some case recommendations as its extremely hard to get an review on cases, could be due to it being very dependant on the build.

Possible downgrade:

1) Trident Z Ram --> Aegis Series

2) 500GB SSD -> 250GB SSD (in the future + 1TB WD Blue 7200RPM HDD)

Appreciate your input on my build.

Thanks in advance!

Don't downgrade RAM and SSD.

If possible, Get better GPU. For that price you might be able to find 6600XT/5700XT and it'll be way better.

Sadly, the store I'm buying from has the Gigabyte RX6600XT priced almost a 100$ more. The RX6600 is just slightly more expensive tho. Will do some more research between the 1660s and 6600XT cards and decide.

Thanks for the tip!

yeah I see that now, thanks a lot for pointing that out. Have been comparing a lot of Nvidia cards somehow I discredited the AMD cards lol.
