Fighting severe lag today. Rebooted everything didn't fix it.

I've been playing Halo Infinite for a few days now and didn't have any problems with lag, but a few matches I did before making this post I had SEVERE lag. I was even lagging when trying to voice chat over discord, so I know it had to be from my end. I rebooted my PC and my modem/router, and my nodes. Everything has been rebooted...several times and still lag. It's made any online multiplayer game unplayable for me at the moment. 

 

Usually rebooting everything fixes lag, something I RARELY have to contend with. If rebooting everything several times doesn't fix it, what else can I do? 

Results of speedtest.net as of the moment of me making this post are:   Ping 16ms     249.85 mbps download     11.89mbps upload

Rebooting shouldn’t have any affect on traditional lag, as that is a ping and server thing and doesn’t even happen in your house.  If a reboot fixes slowdowns it means you’ve had some sort of problem for some time that acts like lag but isn’t.

so that's why one day I can have zero lag and the next day I'm rubber banding all over a multiplayer map. ok. wish there was something I could do about it.
