PC will not boot with GPU installed

bam0899

Hi all-

I have a 6 year old build that was running perfectly.  Suddenly, the PC will not boot with the video card installed.  The PC runs fine without the video card.  Is it safe to assume my video card is shot?  Motherboard?

I tried a different PSU but that did not help.  Unfortunately I do not have another system to test with.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!!

Any ideas out there??

Well and that's why we need full specs,  so something can be recommend without randomly guessing.

Don't you have some really old gpu laying around or could you borrow one?

The obvious next step is to try the video card in another system. But since you said you don't have another system I'm not sure what else you can do. Surely you can find someone with a PC you can help you. Maybe go to a store and let them try it in one of their systems.
