Just bought the Corsair RM 850x 2018 edition accidentally instead of the new 2021 edition, any difference worth returning?

No. Keep the 2018 model.

The new RMx model is updated to use the triangle design on the fan grill Corsair is using across their product range and to bring it up to the new low load efficiency requirements for >70% efficiency at 2% load.
