Help I need to know if my laptop supports NVME

I have a HP-15 bs658tx and it does have the m.2 slot which has written text as M2×3 does my laptop supports NVME? And which will be the best SSD to buy?

That's not an M.2 drive slot.

 

Get a 1 or 2TB SATA SSD to replace that 5400rpm SATA drive.

The M2x3 text most likely refers to the SCREW to the right of the text.  Metric size 2 screws, 3 mm in height. Or something like that.  There's an "arrow" pointing to the screw.

 

You can see the text repeated all the way to the top of the circuit board, by those other two screws.

Thank you for the response but look the image closer near the text m2x3 that is a gen 3 port or might be gen 4

I did.  Let me ask you, where would the drive lay if that was an M.2 slot?  Over the wiriing upward or the chips downward?  There is no room for one, at all.  Not to mention that is a very low end laptop, it doesn't pass the common sense test for it to have multiple M.2 slots.

 

This is what an M.2 slot looks like, with a space for the drive and a screw and standoff for the back end...
