Power Supply Fans running at MAX speed and then PC shuts down

Unique_Reall

HI everyone,

So, I had bought a second hand computer from Facebook Marketplace. The PC is 10 years old. So, considering that the PC is 10 years old, I wanted to give It a clean. I took all the components out of the case and then cleaned everything. After that I had successfully put all the components in the case. Afterwards that, when I had turned the PC on, the Power Supply fan was running at full speed. And when windows had loaded up, in a few secs, my PC had gotten shut down. And a red light turned on near the power button. There were 2 beeps and then a long break. In total there were 10 beeps.

After all of this, I ordered a new power supply from Amazon. It should be coming tomorrow. I will be trying that with my PC.

Does anyone know what may of caused this or solution to this?

Thanks

Listen to the beeps and then google "HP Z200  X Short Beeps, X Long Beeps"

Customize based on the beeps.

Did you buy a HP Specific PSU?  That's probably a custom power supply, not standard.

There were 2 short beeps and then a long break and then it kept repeating that. So, there were total 10 beeps.

No, I dont think that. As I've already checked that.

Before the red light and beeps, the power supply fans runs at max speed. So, is that the power supply issue?

possibly?  But those beeps on HP systems are for diagnostics, so I'd triple check everything that manual says to
