Crucial Ballistix RGB Has Lost it's Mind

Dabid1337

I recently purchased a 16gb kit of crucial ballistix 3200 cl16 RGB.

It was working fine when I installed the memory, but all of a sudden the RGB started flickering and changing all sorts of different colors, and half the time I can't even turn the lights off when it's doing this.

I originally was using crucials MOD software, then switched to MSI mystic light, as the mobo i have is MSI.

It worked fine for a while and then this all happened.

I updated all my drivers, windows is up to date, mystic is up to date, pretty sure my bios is...

Any ideas of what would fix this?

And yes I have tried taking them out and reinstalling

Deinstall MSI software,  use  openRGB instead.

Did you manage to figure this out?

The same crazy flickering started on my system too (I have the crucial ballistix 3600 cl16 RGB) and MSI B550 Meg unify motherboard).  It all used to work well before, not sure when it started as my system is under the desk and only noticed a few days ago.

Mystic light does not change or control the rgb on the ram anymore (it identifies the ram rgb, but when you change any settings this does not happen on the ram lighting, not even turning the lighting off works)

MOD software does not control the lighting at all,

I've updated windows 10 latest updates, installed all the latest msi mboard & Asus RTX 3070 GPU drivers.
