Definitely the build quality and the BoomSound speakers. Sense 5+ is just wickedly fast. Best android skin, hands down.

I like the one thing that it now have the micro sd slot so you don't need to anymore buy another smartphone :)

I think the M8 is just awesome and guess I really can't say much since I've never had a phone I've just had my tablet.

My favorite thing is the speakers. As soon as I saw that on the first One, I just had to have it. But I just bought my S3 right before it came out so I was out of luck. Definitely going with the One this time over the S5

The phone i want is the M8.

It's boomsound speakers give a slap on you're face.

It's metal body is of class A. 

Booyyy..... it got 2 eyes in the back and 1 on it's face.

My favourite thing about this is the build quality. You are right about Samsung mistakenly ignoring this - the M7 almost made me ditch my iPhone and this one might actually do it!

I love that it has a microSD card as that is a feature I want. However, the build quality also seems fantastic for me. I am quite clumsy so a solid build quality is a phone-saver sometimes.

My favourite thing by far has to be the build quality. HTC builds phones that feel great and lasts long.

My favourite thing about HTC One M8 is that it is a hell of a lot better than my crappy old Huawei U8800Pro which has 2.2.3 Froyo in it :)

If I got this phone, I would actually give it to a friend of mine. I'm loving my Note 3, but I know someone that could really use the upgrade.

 

My favorite feature on this one is the speakers, hands down. Every other phone needs those. Every flagship phone should have killer speakers now.

I have the M7, and i love the front facing speakers. 
the M8 just takes that, and brings it to a whole new level, The build quality, the appearance, the innovative camera, so much to love about the M8.

hah, they're not yet avaiable where I am, so I hope I get one, gotta love that build quality. Been waiting for M8 for quite a while just because of that.

My favorite part of the phone is the actual improvements they made towards their innovations. Also, it doesnt hurt that its the sexiest looking phone ever made.
