Video TDR Failure when install NVIDIAs GPU drivers?

my specs:
Asus x570-e motherboard
EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 Ti
EVGA 750 G2
Samsung EVO 980 Pro
Ryzen 5800x
32GB (4x8) G Skill Trident Z 3200MHz

So I just built a new PC, my first time doing a full custom water loop. Everything was working fine up until I went to install the GPU drivers. It’s an EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 Ti. Went to NVIDIAs site and got the latest drivers and installed them.

During the install though, at the part where your screen normally goes black, mine did and took ages to come back on. When it did come back on, it displayed a BSOD with Video TDR failure.

At first I freaked out cause I thought maybe I’d messed up mounting the GPU waterblock and maybe high temps were causing crashes but open hardware monitor says it’s at 35 degrees.

I did a safe mode uninstall in DDU and tried again and got the same result. Formatted my drive and reinstalled windows, same result.

I’m also using a cooler master vertical GPU riser in case that’s relevant.

What do I do?

Sorry for messaging you many months after you initially posted.

Were you able to get the GPU working? I'm having the same issue and I'm trying to gather more data.
