so i finally found out what was killing windows 10 on the ASUS Prime B450M-K Motherboard

Go to solution Solved by cretsiah,

Nope I was wrong .....

after kid played War Thunder for a bit it went back to constantly crashing at start-up

Windows 10 21H1 + windows 11 x64-bit both seem to suffer from the same thing at the " connect to network " after you type in passphrase it freezes then crashes.... dont if its the network stack or usb controller stack causing it

connecting to network issue happens at the install level not just inside the system

so gone back to Linux Mint 20.2 UMA Cinnamon on this system

The " CPU spread spectrum"  in the bios has to be disabled.

this setting as i understand it is to comply with American Power Supply control regulation...

since disabling it, I no longer have any booting issues with windows 10 and system seems more responsive.
