PC turns off after a few hours of gaming, but the CPU cooler is still on (Kernel-Power 41)

Douglas Moreira

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and to PC gaming in the general, I have recently build my first PC, without a GPU though, here in Brazil is basically impossible to afford one, I've been gaming for a month on this PC now, utilizing the integrated graphics of the Ryzen 7 5700g, but recently it just turns off all peripherals, monitor, keyboard and mouse after gaming for like two hours, but I can see that the PC is still on because the CPU cooler keeps working after it, and the power and reset buttons do absolutely nothing, the only way is to turn off the PSU off and on.

The interesting part is that I have played more demanding games before, like Doom Eternal, and the same problem didn't occur, now it happens even on simple games like Halo: CEA

Specs:

B550M Aorus Elite

Ryzen 7 5700G

18gb (2x8) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz

PSU Corsair CV650w, 80 plus bronze

Motherboard BIOS fully up to date?

Remove Radeon drivers with DDU and install again.

XMP enabled in the BIOS?

With XMP enabled, set RAM at 2933 instead of 3000.

Bios is fully updated, ran memory tests and disabled certain features like quick start-up after some research, gamed a little bit, but is hard to know if it improved, the problem takes time to appear.

Gonna follow your steps and remove Radeon drivers and set Ram at 2933.

Thanks.
