Pc motherboard and front audio jacks do not function

they worked for about a day then stopped ive tried everything form reseting windows to checking that the hd audio cable is connected and playback settings and installing realtek and mobo audio drivers its also weird that the built in motherboard audio ports dont work. in the audio option drop down only spdif and nvidia and realtek show up not the headset i have tried multiple.
