RTX 3070ti on a Corsair CV650 psu?

Eitan German

So I recently got an RTX 3070ti STRIX, the thing is I didn't notice that it needs 3 8-pin pcie power cables to work, it wont give a display output with just 2 of them connected.

unfortunately I only have a 650w Corsair CV650 power supply which has only one 8 pin pcie cable that splits into 3 8-pin connectors.

as of right now I used a double molex to 8-pin pcie adapter to run the GPU.

I know that its not ideal but the question is, is it safe for both the PSU and the GPU?

technically this PSU has more than enough amps on the 12v rail to power the GPU, what I'm worried is,  will the cables itself handle this much power thro a split cable and an adapter?
