How can my nvidia graphics card work in my system ?

hello i am new here. i have a question about my gpu it is a gygabite 7900gs zalman : https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-NX79G256DP-RH#ov this one. My specs are a 180 w psu i3 4130 4gb ram my pc is lenovo thinkcentre e73 i researched about it and i found that the motherboard can give me 45 w of power to the gpu. I do not have another option because my psu does not have a cable for my gpu i put my gpu in my pci slot the fan started spining but the system did not detect it. I thought it was the drivers i searched for them and did not find any for windows 10 so i installed windows 7 on my hdd and found drivers for windows vista ,7 and 8 i downloaded them and put them on my usb stick. But windows 7 also did not recognize my gpu not even the drivers and also for some reason i did not have my internet drivers installed on windows 7.So how can i make it to work ?

I think he may be asking if you can run it on the partial power of the motherboard at least, but I am not sure.

even in newer GPUs you cant do it. They usually check for power connector before booting.

and if so can i just buy a cheap 20 dollars psu just to run my gpu would that be enough ? I would put it on top of the case or something.I just want to know if it would work ?
