How to get rid of usb cables across the room

Hello there,

first sorry for my potentially horrible english.

I recently upgraded to a lg oled tv as my pc monitor and because its so big i also upgraded to a moveable desk in the middle of my room to be further away. My Pc is standing besides the tv, with all the usb cables going across my room.

Im now looking for a solution to get rid of the usb cables (mouse, keyboard, usb dongle for external hard drive etc.) of course the easiest solution would be to buy everything wireless but my gear is quite new and i dont want to spend a ton of money again.

So my two ideas are buying a wireless usb hub or trying to achieve the same thing with a raspberry pi and an bluetooth dongle.

The problems are that i cant find a proper wireless usb dongle and im noob at raspberry pi / linux. Furthermore im concerned about the speed via bluetooth, since i regularly backup my system on a samsung t7.

I know there are kvm switches aswell as a kvm hat for the raspberry pi but they are quite expensive (still cheaper than buying new wireless gear setup) and dont seem to do be what i need exactly.

 

Any suggestions what the best solution would be? Are there any good wireless usb hubs?

You can use a USB Hub with 1 cable.

I dont understand why you picked the big monitor.
A smaller one could be on your desk, it would be cheaper and you could easiely hide the cables.

If you only use the TV as a monitor sitting on your desk, and moved the desk backwards because size, it seems to me you got something you shouldn't have/wrong size.

Ya as the others have said I would just attach a USB hub to your desk and run a single cable, and things like usb drives etc could just be plugged into the tower direct

yeah just go with a usb hub. It is easiest solution

is water wet?
