You have a top board with many options.

The first 2 that come to mind...

Retry button

Clear cmos button.

A0 is IDE initialization has started. Which probably means nothing because you're not running IDE mode....??

Yeah, try the clear cmos button first.

Good Luck!

@Nizar77 Sorry to semi hijack this thread but what M.2 slot did you put your NvME in ? as im having crashes using the M.2_1 and am trying to work out if its a faulty drive or MB as in M.2_2 it works fine but then it only works at x8 speed for GPU.  I have the same MB and CPU hence my question.

Why wouldn't you use both? You can only use one (which one doesnt matter) but a CPU and mobo this expensive usually mean an all-out build with a high end PSU which will have at least 2 of these plugs.

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

Both atx 12v connectors (4 + 4pins for a total of 8pins) are needed.

The Maximus Hero VIII has an lga 1151 socket and not lga 1200 which is what the 11900k uses.

Are you sure you're referring to the correct motherboard?

The user manual doesn't seem to specify whether or not both are necessary.

One 8pin connector (atx_12v_1) is usually enough for the system to post and operate at stock speeds or for moderate overclocking with the second 8pin (atx_12v_2) being for additional power for hardcore overclocking. It's recommended to plug both in if possible.

Gskilll 2X 32G 4400mhz.... thanks in advance

Plugging in only one of the 8pin connectors shouldn't cause freezing. If it were a problem, the system should post with an error that instructs for the second 8pin connector to be connected or it shouldn't post at all.

Have you tried reseating the ram / m.2 drive or using only 1 stick of ram and trying a different m.2 slot?

I see there's an earlier thread regarding this issue and it may be more helpful to keep discussion in one place -- merged threads.
