Small monitor with touch for a gaming pc

TouristeAG

Hey, I can't find any solutions to my problem and maybe you could help 馃槄. I actually have a big 32' ultrawide monitor but I'd like to find a small monitor with it to have for example discord open while I game on the main one. It would be awsome if that secondary small monitor was a touchscreen on my side. I looked at many small portable monitors (which would be perfect) but if you want to use the touch functions you have to go through thunderbolt and I don't have thunderbolt on my pc (only usbc but there is no video output)(like this one: https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-Portable-Touchscreen-Frameless-TD1655/dp/B08778F756/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=portable%2Btouch%2Bmonitor&qid=1634672696&qsid=146-9374970-0619814&sr=8-1&sres=B08778F756%2CB07WC2NL2G%2CB08RYTSQQQ%2CB08T5SZYQN%2CB083ZFG1PF%2CB08JLWNX22%2CB0875Y6DNJ%2CB08FJJJ5H8%2CB08RN6W9CZ%2CB08D1MLTQD%2CB08F38MXZL%2CB086VJP65W%2CB07VFF4TZG%2CB094V583BM%2CB086YHPQX2%2CB08JB1NKN5&srpt=MONITOR&th=1). I searched for lcd panels (even laptop screen replacements) controlled by a control board but again the same problem. Is there no such options made to be used with a pc ?

That monitor you linked has HDMI, so you could use that with a PC. Is that not what you want? All you might need is a power adapter if your USB ports can't deliver power, and an HDMI->miniHDMI adapter to connect to your GPU.

Edit: never mind on both potential issues. It comes with a 60watt AC adapter and the cable is full size-to-mini.

i own one that has 2 display input options, USB C or mini HDMI

USB C would be touch + DP signal

HDMI would be display signal only, u can still enable touch by plugging in the type C port anyways, but with data only

it's a very generic OEM portable 15.6 inch display

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

This would work. Feed video via HDMI, use one of the USB-C ports to supply power, and the 2nd connects to any USB port on your PC for touch.聽
