My Wifi adapter cannot connect to the default gateway

I just got a new WiFi adapter and it will find the WiFi in my house and connect to it but it will not recognize it. The IPv4 Connectivity has no network access. If I use my old adapter then it will connect just fine. In the control panel in shows up as unidentified network.
