hi how do i check if my ROG laptop HDMI or display port is connected directly to my nvidia gpu instead of igpu

i have been some problem with optimus and i want to try to slove it by connecting it to an external display through hdmi. how do i know if my hdmi or any other display port is connected directly to nvidia gpu
my laptop is ROG Zephyrus M16 GU603HM-I936G6T-O

The easiest should be just connecting a monitor and playing a game. Laptops can do both GPUs automatically, but a lot of laptops will use the dGPU and some only use the iGPU, although I havent seen many like tyhat.
