GPU pick

I'd say it depends on the screen size you're thinking about and the GPU you have. 1440p has 77% more pixels, so it'll be much harder to run at 240 fps to get the most out of 240 Hz.

also for for calm non-competitive games, im planning on using a 4k 60hz monitor

Why get a k620? Id just get a cpu with a decent igpu for now like a 11400, then get the 3080 later on.

This is true, but if the 5600x is an option, I'm presuming a discrete GPU is already part of the build.

I mean I could be wrong. If so, the 5600G is better because if you don't have a discrete GPU, the 5600x system won't even post.

5600G is roughly equivalent in CPU performance to a 3600. If you really need the iGPU, I'd go for a 5700G, which has the same performance as the 5600X. Otherwise, and especially if you have a dGPU already or will eventually get one, I'd stick with the 5600X.

The 5600G is AMD budget offering in the 5000 line up. It is ideal for a home computer with the main function being general use/media play back and light gamming. Although I would argue intel have far cheaper processors suited to this task. If you have a dedicated GPU which you should if gaming the only reason to choose the G variant over the X is for trouble shouting or a back up if the graphics card fails.

Intel's desktop iGPU is useless for gaming in comparison to the 5000 series APUs. The 5600G is often over 100% faster. Plus the only Intel CPUs that are cheaper and offer comparable CPU performance are the non-K 10th and 11th gen i5 processors. All the i3 ones get beaten handily. And while the 10600K and 11600K would offer better gaming performance after finally getting a graphics card, the experience in the meantime would be far inferior.

Your correct the APU offering from AMD is vastly superior to anything intel has on offer. My opinion here was that any gamer looking at an APU for gaming would be better considering other options.

I agree the 5600G is probably a better investment than the k620. And if you're going 3080, then a 1080 screen is basically a waste. I don't personally feel I even notice when a screen is 120 fps vs 170. The 3080 is meant to be for 1440p and 4K. With DLSS I bet it can get well above 200 in most games.

A 1080 monitor now limits any future upgrade. Monitors outlast GPUs usually. Go for the 1440p.

I mean always get better if you can? Monitors are a good investment and last longer than the rest hardware.

No.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Never put the words "4K" and 10xx anything in the same sentence, unless it's my beloved 1080Ti.
