The Realtek network controller was not found if deep sleep mode is enabled.

I have a Ryzen 5 5600x, ROG 6700xt, GIGABYTE Aorus b550M Pro-p, and a EVGA Bronze power supply. The situation started one day when attempting to boot up my computer for a quick game session the ethernet seemed to not work. I tried many things like restarting my PC, redownloading the LAN drivers, and checking all of my ports and connecters.

The only unusual thing was a message that popped up after downloading my LAN driver https://i.imgur.com/wsiShu2.png . Hopefully the issue is something related to that and not hardware.

nktNwRC.pngThere's also a list of the network adapter portion of my device manager . (the top one is the network adapter i'm using temporarily.)

Since your Realtek adapter doesn't show up in Windows my first advice would be to check your bios settings. Is the adapter enabled in there? Is there a setting for deep sleep? Can you see the status of it in the bios and if yes, what does it say?

If you look at the Ethernet port on your pc, does it light up when your pc is on?

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello I have exactly the same problem!

I have the same mainboard: B550M AORUS PRO-P (rev. 1.0) motherboard.
I have windows 11 in the preview version.
I flashed the Bios F14e yesterday!
since then the gigabit 2.5GbE LAN onboard no longer works!
Windows11 no longer shows me the adapter!
The lan cable in the back is inside, but no signal lights are on!
I flashed bios F13 back, but without fixing the problem!
since the bios update went through without errors, the Lan port is no longer!

Gigabyte has published either a buggy bios or a bug in the bios!
or the mainboard is defective!
i have been looking for a solution for 2 days!
I wrote gigabyte Esupport but still without an answer!

I could just freak out!

It should generally be the Gigabyte mainboard with the bios F14e.
that this bios has a bug!
According to my research, no resoucen has been allocated in the registration of windows either!
I added this manually because the registration key was not available, added according to the instructions on the windows support page!

All without success!
I'll wait another week .. gigabyte shouldn't fix the problem.
I will give the mainboard back on guarantee and get another one that is not from Gigabyte!

There is no option of a deep sleep mode in the bios!

Or can it be that windows 11 has a bug ?!
