Your Phone app audio devices

I cannot figure out how to change what audio device the app uses. I'm using voice meter banana to control my audio. What I am trying to accomplish is have someone on the phone, and someone on a video/voice call on my pc and have the 2 be able to hear each other. I have to change what device the your phone app uses to do so, but when I use the built in windows setting for it under sounds, it resets every time I make a phone call. Are there any settings I need to change or are there any free programs that I can use to make phone calls using my pc headphones and microphone that would actually let me do what I want?
