Do CD players have high voltage?

38034580

I see an AC input and a DC9V input for C batteries. Will there be any high voltage?

Use your head. If your optical drive inside the computer can run with 5v and 12v, and that CD player can work from batteries or 9v DC in, why would there be high voltage?

If the cd player has a AC in, it will have either a classic transformer or a switching power supply to convert the AC input to some reasonable low voltage.

The most power hungry thing in the cd player would be the motor which spins the disc... and those motors are typically designed to work with standard voltages like 3v / 5v / 6v / 9v / 12v

Considering it's supposed to run on batteries, which will have varying voltage (ex 1.2v .. 1.6v), the motor most likely will run at less voltage than number of batteries x 1.2v -ish

theres lots of older electronics that takes in 100-250V that gets boosted into high voltage range.

a CD player doesn't have any high voltage gear inside,
