pcie x16 I need a PCIe x4 to PCIe x16 adapter.

I need a PCIe x4 to PCIe x16 adapter, It will need to connect a Nvidia GT 1030 to a PCIe x4 slot

also is a GTX 1660 super (using PCIe x16) with a GT 1030 (using (PCIe x4) a good pair? This is for a upcoming upgrade for my PC with a B365M DS3H (rev. 1.0)

I might use one for recording and another for gaming. and one for rendering while gaming, it will be 8gb of v ram  total.

If you need vram then buy a tesla k80 off ebay, 24gb vram for ~200-300$

you dont combine vram of gpu's , not even when in sli do they combine vram

 

the gt 1030 wont be able to do anything that the 1660 cannot already do by itself

I just want to maximize performance

I might just use Gt 1030 for a separate setup,it will be used for streaming a oculus rift 2. (And no I am not rendering games on it, it will stream it)

im not sure i understand why you think the gtx 1660 isn't already capable of the task you've outlined by itself and needs the 1030

Why don't you use the igpu instead of a GT 1030?
