Worked on this for 10+ hours, "Ethernet IP configuration invalid" and doesn't connect to router through ethernet.

Motherboard is MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus (non-wifi)

R7 3700x

RTX 3070

 

Installed adapters, reinstalled, updated, update bios, updated other drivers, updated windows, and a few other fixes that aren't in my head atm.

Realtek PCIe GBE, arris surfboard, no switches. i dont know what kind of network or where to find that

Which model adapter exactly? Do you have the latest drivers? Have you tried other adapters?

Have you had the same issue with any other devices on the network?

What's the IP it's trying to use?
Have you tried manually setting an IP instead of using DHCP?

Have you rebooted the modem?
