I'v decided to get a new cpu this ok for gaming 1080p on medium settings?

I am having issues with my games were there under 50 mostly warzone and coldwar it dips below 50 in some areas in zombies.

Would that help and it's is upgradable in the future add another ram stick and cpu.

Would it help? Yes, but if it were my system I'd go to a 10400F. 4C/8T to 4C/8T doesn't make sense in 2021.

 

Is it upgradeable? I mean, sure, you can drop another stick of RAM in there down the line--but you're better off going with 2x8 up front instead of giving up dual channel.

 

If it were me, I'd do what you're doing, but replace the single 16GB stick with a pair of 8GB sticks, and go with a 10400F instead of a 10100F. It'll add a little cost to the build, but that's money you don't have to spend on the back end.

I dont have the money it cost me 401$ this in AU cash and I am planning in a month or so to get another and if it gets the game above 60 i am happy.

I want 32gb due to video conversion and conservation of videos.

Ok i did some money calcuation I can get the 10400F

I would swap out the single stick of 16gb for 2 of 8gb

OK I am getting 2x8 stick and they added a new board for 10$ ASRock B460M Pro4 so I can get quad channle soon. Since my ddr3 system has 4 sticks of 8gb 1600.

I have done testing and it is my cpu my gpu rarely hits 55% on max without ray tracing and anti-alsising etc but even on main menu my cpu pegs at 60%

So getting the i5-10400F would help majorly 6 core and my friends with same system as I built both got the parts I am getting with extra 16gb for 32 and says it went from 60% in main menu max to 50% in massive firefights on the 50v50 mode we had.

 

I will post update maybe next week depending on time for parts.

Ok i'v orderd the parts  I hope since I looked up 1070 is still a mad gaming gpu for 1080p and Warzone pegs at 60% on high in war/zombies but cpu pegs 100% 85% of the time.
