rtx 3060 not getting enough frames

Aryatikku30

i have a rtx 3060 and when i play games the frames i get are lower than what other people get with the same gpu. in gpu-z it says i am bottlenecked by my voltage an that might be why im getting less frames. is there any way to increase the voltage to my gpu or is there any other fix?

FPS isn't some inherent metric of a particular GPU. It depends on a number of different factors, such as the particular game, resolution and quality settings, CPU, RAM, and even things like the PSU or driver/Windows versions can all result in different FPS from one system to another.

You need to provide a lot more information about your rig and the game(s) you're playing before we can even attempt to help you.

What resolution are you playing at ?

If someone plays at 1080p he will get much higher FPS ( if not bottlenecked by CPU ) than someone playing at 1440p or even 4k.

'FPS' is a very bad metric to compare anything really.

That answered some things but there's still a ton of missing information here. If the particular game is CPU bound, the 2600 combined with somewhat slow 3000MHz RAM could be a factor.

"650W gold" is almost entirely meaningless when it comes to a PSU. The efficiency rating, in particular, means exactly squat, but in general, certain brands and models have issues with things like ripple or transient loads that can directly impact system performance. Can't determine that, though, without knowing the make and model, of course.

It doesn't really say that though,  it's just one part of Nvidias algorithm and they obviously trying to not blow up the card with too much voltage.

Funny enough to get rid of the voltage limitation (vrel I'm guessing?) you need to undervolt the card, there are plenty of guides on youtube how to do that.

Its very possible you get a few more frames by doing so, but there's no guarantee obviously.
