Hikvision SSD's - Any Good??

ChristoVR

Hi Guys,

From South Africa and since our money sucks against the $$, buying PC components is always a drag. I've been looking to upgrade my existing M.2 SSD and the ones I can afford are from Hikvision (E1000 512GB).

Are these drives any good? For us over here this is a lot of money to spend. :)

Hikvision is a CCTV brand.

Those SSD are probably a white label product. So quality is unknown.

If price is a problem, i suggest getting a lower capacity but from a known brand.

I won't bet my money on an unknown SSD. They can fail, like my samsung ssd recently.

Have at least 3 years of 1 to 1 replacement warranty (since you cannot fix ssd), at least if it failed you can get it replaced.

And always backup your files.

No, there are Russian reviewes, and the HIKVision E1000 is a DRAM-less drive (SM2258XT as controller) with IMFT 64L TLC NANDs.
