4k smart TV for gaming

vladonizer

I am wanting to make a PC gaming setup in my living room with a big 4k TV. I was hoping a 65", decent response time, and 60 fps. I'm not sure if this exists(I know nothing about TVs) I would like to know yalls opinion on what/which TV or if you have better recommendations for what I want to do

Well, you didn't list a budget so this is easy. LG CX 65" OLED. Hands down. $2000.

Big brother to the extremely popular 48" CX OLED for PC gaming. 120Hz, Gsync, HDMI 2.1.

Well I don't really have a budget, so I'll definitely put that one on my list to look at.

I don't want to spend more then I have to, but I'd I decide it's worth the extra $ I will

Go for Vizios smart tv if you are on a budget

I have an ASUS G14 2021 with Manjaro KDE and I am a professional Linux NoOB and also pretty bad at General Computing.

Its an OLED, nothing else is really going to compare.

Why not 120hz.

The 3090 has HDMI 2.1 so 4k 120hz.

All my TVs are 4k 120hz, Ge-sync compatible and there are 65" versions of them.

For gaming and streaming the LG BX model is fine. If you are into 4K Blu-Ray the CX may be better. I can't tell the difference in the show room.

I use a Nanocell 85 as well and it is a better monitor than it is a TV and now it is the NanoCell 90 in 2021.

I use 2 for gaming but if I had young kids I would give them a pass. They may not remember to switch it off.

I burnt one in doing what we are doing now. That is why I bought the Nanocell.

I am not much of an adult.

Will I realistically feel a difference between oled and qled as far as response time?

I honestly didn't know that there was a 120hz tv. Right now I can't run it any higher then 60, but I'll probably upgrade my PC next year

RTINGS.com should have done tests to check for Input lag, response time and refresh rate. I would look in to their data first.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Even with older GPUs you can still do 1440p and 1080p. It looks better than my LG 32" 1440p monitor.

Use https://www.rtings.com/ for response times.

Response time as in pixel response or inputlag? Inputlag has nothing to do with LCD and OLED.

Pixel response is a different story and yes, OLED is much faster than any LCD.

QLED is nothing but marketing bullshit by Scamsung, don't fall in their trap. I'm not sure about the CX in your country but there is the LG C1 65" too. The CX and C1 are very popular amongst gamers. I was about to get the 48C1 but I'm holding off till 42" OLED.
