Does CL have anything to say for a gaming/render rig?

Looking at upgrading in the near future, not sure if i will wait for AM5 or upgrade to slightly better memory now.

 

Currently looking at these:

Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3600MHz 16GB CL18 140$

Ripjaws V DDR4 RAM 16GB CL16 170$

Trident Z RGB DDR4 3600MHz 16GB CL18 120$

 

Will CL16 over CL18 have anything to say? Even if the Ripjaws is slightly more expensive.

Eh... hard to say without part numbers to look up the specs. 

No to the Trident Z CL 18.

If you want Trident Z look for this kit. F4-3600C16D-16GTZKW  - Here in the US they go for 120$ (Newegg, can give link if you want.)

Found them for 140$.. Which is suprising for norway which usually does a 50% slap on prices here.

Probably one of the best sets out there at this frequency. 16-16-16-36, that is a B-Die timing set so they will be really good performers even if you dabble in overclocking them.

Okay? Usually havent had much good luck with overclocking memory over the years.

 

Currently have Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB DDR4 3000 MHz with XMP enabled or the mhz doesnt set itself right Hopefully this kit brings better enjoyment

I have this set, but red in color. They do 4000mt/s on my 8700K no problems. With my 2700X (not a great memory controller on this chip) they gladly run 3733mhz. Just takes a little extra memory voltage. They scale pretty well actually)
