Need a new PSU for a dual GPU system

BondiBlue

I picked up a new GPU unexpectedly this past weekend (a brand new 1660 Ti for only $75), and now I'm in need of a PSU upgrade. Currently I am using a 450W Corsair CXM (semi modular, bronze), and it's been excellent during the past two years, but it's definitely a bit light for 270W of GPU power and a Ryzen 7 2700. Any good recommendations for a good quality PSU around the $100 mark? For right now I'll be sticking with my RX 570, GTX 1660 Ti, R7 2700, and a couple storage drives. Ideally I'd like to get something fully modular (my Carbide 175R doesn't have a lot of room for cables), but semi modular would also work. Additionally, a decent amount of SATA connectors would be a massive bonus for powering some optical drives.

Phobos: AMD Ryzen 7 2700, 16GB 3000MHz DDR4, ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 8GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 1030, 1TB Samsung SSD 980, 450W Corsair CXM, Corsair Carbide 175R, Windows 10 Pro

Polaris: Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2, 32GB 1600MHz DDR3, ASRock X79 Extreme6, 12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, 6GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 1TB Crucial MX500, 750W Corsair RM750, Antec SX635, Windows 10 Pro

Pluto: Intel Core i7-2600, 32GB 1600MHz DDR3, ASUS P8Z68-V, 4GB XFX AMD Radeon RX 570, 8GB ASUS AMD Radeon RX 570, 1TB Samsung 860 EVO, 3TB Seagate BarraCuda, 750W EVGA BQ, Fractal Design Focus G, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

York (NAS): Intel Core i5-2400, 16GB 1600MHz DDR3, HP Compaq OEM, 240GB Kingston V300 (boot), 3x2TB Seagate BarraCuda, 320W HP PSU, HP Compaq 6200 Pro, TrueNAS CORE (12.0)

The 1660 Ti doesn't support SLI, so the only application you'd get more performance here would be in something like Blender.

1) I never mentioned SLI, and I have no intention of using the two cards together.

2) I have two cards from different manufacturers, so SLI or CrossFire wouldn't even be an option.

3) I'm looking for PSU recommendations, not what to do with multiple GPUs.

Sorry, was confused by the "dual GPU system" in the title. I've had good experience with my 650W Rosewill with my 1060 and I believe my brother has a similar model for his 1660.

I mainly mentioned it to show that there's a decent power load in the system, hence the need for an upgrade. No worries, I can see how it could be confusing. I'll take a look at some Rosewill supplies and see what I find.

There's always Corsair making decent supplies for cheap (though I think my friend's might've died a while ago, might've been his motherboard), and I know Seasonic makes some of the best but it may be more expensive. I believe PCPartPicker can give you a power estimate based on parts.

Where do you buy a PSU?

Local store or do you order it online? In case of the first: to what make and model PSUs doe you have access to. In case of the second: post a link to the shop and/or name your country.

Because you mentioned a budget in $ I guess it's the US.

My recommandation for US:

if we are gonna give suggestions it would be nice to know where you are buying. In other words what country are you buying in. Prefferably with a retailer linked. Are you buying in the US?

also the CX450M powering both of those GPUs and that CPU seems reasonable.

Oh. I'd prefer online, and yes, I'm in the US. Thanks for the recommendations.

Yeah, I was tired when I read that last night. I'm in the US, and anywhere online would be fine, so Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, etc.

I'm aware that it's enough, but I'd still like to upgrade to something better overall.

These two are the best choice for the price.
