[PS4] God of War turns subtitles automatically on

Hey folks,

 

currently have the issue that GoW turns the subtitles back on if I close it and start it up again.

I go into the settings and disable subtitles but after a restart / reboot they turn back on.

 

Did I miss a setting or is this just a known bug?

 

(I did ask reddit but the only response I get are downvotes, yikes.)
