Will a LAN splitter work with one long 20m LAN cable to two different pcs

Will a cable going to a splitter allow me to connect both my pc and console through lan

There's no LAN splitters, you can use a Switch or a Router.

A network hub should work, but a switch is better. Switches are so affordable these days, that hubs aren't really a valid alternative anymore.

They are similarly priced, so i suggest going for a switch.
