Weird Static Sound from web players. (Youtube, plex, etc)

Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
I have random audio static pops up while watching videos. I have to kill firefox and restart. Sometimes that doesn't even help.

Anyone else have this problem or a fix?

First of all, make sure that your system is properly grounded.  This includes but is not limited to any external devices such as an audio amplifier or other things including your monitors.  A properly grounded system can not be stressed enough.  The sound you hear could be feedback from an improperly grounded system so it is vitally important to do so.  A properly grounded system is also a fallback for a system that has an internal grounding or shorting problem.  The ground provides a route for the errant signal to go to ground (hopefully) without affecting the rest of the system in a bad way.  Good Luck.

Nope this is a software issue. Not a grounding issue.
Grounding wouldn't be fixed by kill apps.

It might be an issue with pulseaudio, the audio server that Ubuntu uses IIRC. You can reinstall the service using the command 

sudo apt install --reinstall pulseaudio

Hopefully this will work. If not it might be a driver issue. What's the system you're using this on?

After you run that command make sure you delete the ~/.config/pulse folder and reboot the system. This will reset your sound profile.
