Is the CRYORIG H5 Ultimate too big for the Fractal Design Define 7 Compact?

EekieHD

I want to change the case of my computer to a Fractal Design Define 7 Compact. On their website, it states that this case has a maximum CPU cooler height of 169mm.  My current CPU cooler, the CRYORIG H5 Ultimate, has a height of 168.3mm.

Will this fit without issues or is there a large chance that I will run into problems? I’m leaning towards the latter, but I wanted to check with it people more knowledgeable before making any decisions.

Thanks in advance!

I do NOT recommend the define 7 the case has flat out bad airflow and the silencing features DO NOT fix the fact that your pc will be louder because the fans will need to spin more.

It should fit but again I don't recommend the case AT ALL.

Thank you for the quick response! After doing some quick research, it does seem that the Fractal Design Define 7 Compact suffers from somewhat poor airflow. I guess I'll look for a different case or maybe I'll invest in some quiet fans in combination with a good fan profile to lower the noise output of my computer. Anyway, thank you again for the insight!

More fans won't fix the issue. Just get a mesh front case and save yourself extra costs and trouble for a worse end result.

Meshify-2 compact is probably close to that.

The cooler fits fine. The heatsink height is 160mm and it lists 168.3mm to account for the option of a raised fan mount.
