should i buy another mobo.

so as i said in a status update, i found a really good deal on a pc (im supposed to get it on sunday) but the mobo is a oem one, now that im seeing it, it looks like its from a small factor pc but would it stop the cpu from going turbo mode?

The size of the motherboard does not determine whether or not the CPU can utilize Turbo Boost. However, finding a case might be a bit of an issue.

Shouldn't be an issue. A 9700 doesn't draw all that much power compared to other 9000 series intel chips. And being a non K it can't OC, so like you said, only thing is turbo. But an OEM board will turbo just fine.

yea i realize that, idk yet, the deal comes with a standard atx case, sooooo maybe just tape it.........

Don't tape it... But it looks more like it may not even fit. That mobo is very wide but not very tall. The hole layout looks sorta like E-ATX, but again, only in the width portion not the height. You should at least be able to get 4 of the screws in which would be "fine" assuming the mobo physically fits in the case.

Tape is not what you should use to mount a motherboard in the wrong case. You'd still need to deal with cooler mounting, and standoffs in incorrect positions could short the board.

the case is a deepcool mesh case, but the thing is the cpu cooler is be quiet dark rock 4 which is heavy. what do you think?

Thats way more heatsink then that CPU needs lol. But if the left 4 mobo screws are all able to screw into the case, itll be fine. That would be the same screws as a m-atx board I believe.
