Tips on shipping PC overseas?

Hey guys, i am moving to the US from London next month and want to ship my PC. Any tips on how to package it correctly to avoid any damage? Should i remove my RTX 3080 and take it in my luggage?

I will most likely ship it a few days before i leave. The options for shipping i've seen say that it would take 2-4 days to arrive so don't have to ship way before!

Take off the CPU Cooler, if it's air.  If it's AIO, I'd leave it.

 

Take out GPU.

 

Put in that foam stuff.

 

Ship in case box, is the best idea since that's how the case is most secure.

 

Honestly, the PC Case shipped overseas to you.  So shipping it just like that is best.  With GPU and CPU Cooler out, it's just a case with things screwed to it nice and secure.

1. Take out anything heavy or damaged by vibration (CPU cooler, GPU, hard drives)

2. Fill the inside with packing material

3. Ship in the case box if you have it

4. Pay for insurance, even with the best possible packing there's at least a 1 in 3 chance it's not arriving in good condition.
