can i connect 2.5inch usb hard disk drive to my phone?

As title reads, is this possible? (using a female to female usb and plugging it into the charging cable didnt work btw lol. thought it was at least worth a try. Im tempted to quicktime order a usb OTG cable of amazon will this work???)

If not, is it possible with a powered usb hub?

If not

In theory, no.  Because that port is not "expecting" a mass storage device.

I'm very generous with the likes I give out on here; you should be, too.

I never believed in orthopedic inserts, but then I got a pair.  Now, I stand corrected.

My friend gave me his Epi-pen as he was dying.  It seemed very important to him that I have it.

What phone do you have? It should work if your phone has USB-C, and if not all you'll need is a USB-OTG adapter.

Why not? Mass storage devices are absolutely supported on Android devices. Heck, you can even use floppy drives with Android.

It needs power?

A lot of phones are capable of powering a 2.5" hard drive without the need for external power. If that's not possible then a powered USB hub can be used.
