Clicking on notification bell button wont do anything

Browser, version and OS: Chrome 93.0.4577.63 (Official Build) (64-bit), Ubuntu 21.04

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Not exactly reproduceable, occurs randomly.

 

What happened?

The notification bell icon would get highlighted as it should, but the popup does not open.

 

What did you expect to happen?

The popup to open.

I'll try to keep the page open for as long as I can, to help troubleshooting.

Do you experience this frequently, or just a one-off? I've seen it a couple of times, but haven't been able to pin down the cause.

For me, at least, this happens usually when there is more than 1 notification in the bottom tray. When you click on it, it like- disables the notification button!

Nope, just happens randomly. I'll try to look for patterns when/if I encounter this again.
