so essentially my case's audio pin does not match the one on my motherboard and i have tried two different external audio connectors a audio jack to usb and a bluetooth adapter.

if i chucked a sound card into my motherboard would that fix my issues?

also the problem is that the mic does not input (and its not the headset)

thanks in advance

Does your audio connector look like this?

How do I connect the HD AUDIO connector into the F_AUDIO header, as it is an odd shape: techsupport

That's a standard connector, and on that motherboard it goes here:

If your case has a different connector?  Then nothing will fit it, but that would be very odd.

It 100% does, unless what you mean is that the cable isn't long enough to reach.

Friends don't let friends use Userbenchmark. Ban the term "bottleneck." Corps aren't your friends. If the PC does what you need it to do well enough, it's good enough. Don't build the "best" system, build the system that makes you happy.

Well, there are 2 options:

1) Your connector is different.  If that's the case *nothing* you buy will fit, as front panel audio is a standard outside of OEMs like HP / Dell / Lenovo.

2) You're doing something wrong.

Can you post a picture of the FP Audio connector from your case?

There are two types of connectors AC97 and HD audio but the wrong one will still fit. If you look at this image there is a pin that is blanked out, if you're putting it in upside down it won't fit.
Also check for bent pins.
