and im curious if the stock cooler will do fine under intense gaming from games that can utilize many to all of its cores?

Note: The airflow in the case will be superb

Itll be far more than sufficient in that case. Hell, ive seen people overclock with wraith on a good case and good weather.

Im aware this cooler is significantly better than the intel stock cooler, however my concern is in the games i play. Certain games are able to utilize more than a single or dual cores, and im curious if the stock cooler will do fine under intense gaming from games that can utilize many to all of its cores?

Note: The airflow in the case will be superb

if you have one on hand, give it a go

the likelyhood of damaging CPU by overheating it is quite low nowadays with all the thermal protection going on

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Imo the stock cooler doesn't handle stock boosting very well and will probably end up stabilizing clocks in the 3.7-3.9ghz range, maybe 4.0 with a bit of tuning.
I just wouldn't recommend leaving stock settings with the stock cooler, either playing with ppt limits in pbo or static voltage undervolting would be my recommendations, negative offsets can cause performance loss via clock stretching.

The l9-65 is similar performance to the stock cooler from my understanding.
