500 fps is pointless.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

It's a fine combo.

Getting more FPS than your display can output has zero function

? Depends on the model, not the price.

The "average" monitor (the overwhelming majority of those made) has a refresh rate of 60hz.

You could find some 1080p 144hz monitors for under $170, maybe if they were on sale, but not many. Anything above 144hz, forget it (although refresh rates above 144-165hz are mostly pointless except for professional gamers in specific types of games, and often sacrifice other things like color accuracy to achieve the highest possible refresh rate at any cost).
