I can’t unscrew my motherboard

I cannot unscrew my motherboard from the case, I can’t use a pair of pliers on the screw driver of the problematic screw since it’s pretty much out of reach, what do I do ?

My suggestion will piss people off, but drill out the screw.

Pick a bit smaller than the screw hole, drill down the middle, then blast with coimpressed air or clean with isoproypl alcahol

I often use a drill to remove screws on old appliances. However I think there is enough head left on the screw that you may be able to remove the screw with an appropriately sized flat head driver. Push down hard and get a good grip on what remains of the screw.

yeah, you can, so don't.

Motherboard manufacturers usually dotn put traces near a screw hole, ive widended motherboard holes before with a drill, it still works. 

Just make sure its streaght down and smaller than the screw size

its just drilling a hole straight down, its not hard.

it would be easiest to line it up from there. Plus, you wont need to go through a standoff.

just go untill you see gold at the end

or, you might just try putting the drill into losen mode first, the bit might bite into the head ant take out the screw

I feel like there might be a misunderstanding here.

 

"Drill it out" does not mean use a drill to unscrew it. It means use a drill to destroy the screw so it can be removed.

You also could try putting a rubber band between the screw head and the screw driver.. Push hard and the elastic will take up some of the opening in the head.
